Across the bay, the Médano Beach hotels look straight at Land's End, and on the corridor The Cape says the Arch is visible from almost anywhere on its property. No hotel puts you next to the Arch, though. It stands in the water at the tip of the peninsula, and the only way to see it up close is by boat.

This list includes only hotels whose own pages or press releases describe a view of the Arch or Land's End. We are an independent yacht charter agency with no ties to any of them.

The Land's End hotels: on the rocks themselves

Land's End is the granite headland at the tip of the peninsula, and the Arch is at its end. Its Pacific side has a handful of hotels, and three of them belong to one family.

Grand Solmar Land's End

Grand Solmar Land's End is built into the rocks of Land's End on the Pacific side, next to the Arch. It opened in February 2011 and has 247 suites. Its beach sits between cliffs and is reached through the hotel, and the surf there is not safe for swimming, so guests use the infinity pools. The side it faces is the Divorce Beach side, the open Pacific.

According to Mexico News Daily, no hospitality brand other than Solmar has built hotels on that headland.

Solmar Resort

Solmar Resort opened in 1974 as Hotel Solmar, with 20 rooms and two suites, close to the Arch on Playa Solmar. Today it has 104 rooms. Playa Solmar faces the open Pacific: good for walks and sunsets, not for swimming, because of rogue waves, a steep drop-off and undertow.

Playa Grande

Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa opened next door in 1998, with 261 rooms and a private beach on the Pacific side near Land's End. It is steps from the marina. Grand Solmar guests get a free shuttle to Playa Grande and the group's other hotels.

Sandos Finisterra: the cliff between the Pacific and the bay

Sandos Finisterra is built into the cliffs between the Pacific and the marina. It opened in 1971 as Hotel Finisterra, and when Sandos took it over in 2012 the announcement described views over the Pacific and the bay. Some rooms hang out from the rock face. It has 272 rooms and is steps from the marina, about 2 minutes by car without traffic.

The Médano Beach hotels: the Arch across the bay

From Médano you look south across the bay at Land's End, so these hotels see the rocks from the front.

Casa Dorada says you see the Arch across the bay from its stretch of sand, and when it opened it had 13 penthouse suites facing Land's End. ME Cabo sits on Médano facing the Arch. Corazón Cabo notes the Arch is visible across the bay, and its Rooftop 360 is nine stories up. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas, at the east end, says the Arch can be seen from its beach. At Pueblo Bonito Rosé, the big pool faces the Land's End rock formations.

These are the hotels closest to the boats too: from 0.6 km in a straight line for Corazón to about 2.5 km for Riu Palace. Read more about the beach in our Médano Beach guide.

The corridor hotels that look back toward Land's End

East of town the coast curves, and a few hotels on its first cliffs look back west toward the Arch.

The Cape, a Thompson Hotel opened on June 29, 2015 on Monuments Beach, and its sources say the Arch is visible from almost anywhere on the property. One of its pools is a saltwater pool built into a natural rock formation. It is about 4.4 km from the marina in a straight line, around 16 minutes by car.

Hacienda Encantada sits on a granite cliff at Punta Ballena with a view toward Land's End. It is about 6.8 km away in a straight line, around 18 minutes by car. Its neighbor on the same point, Esperanza, overlooks two coves that face Land's End, about 6.1 km away, around 14 minutes.

Seeing the Arch up close from a yacht

A room with a view shows you the Arch from a distance. From a boat you get close to it, see the sea lions on the rocks and pass Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach on either side. The Arch is about 1.9 km from the marina, so even a 2 hour charter has plenty of time there. Our guide to the Arch covers what you see on the way.

The 2 hour route goes out past Pelican Rock, the sea lion colony, the Arch, Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach, then back along Médano. If you are staying at a Médano hotel, that last stretch shows you your own hotel from the water.

The Arch at sunset

The light on Land's End changes fast in the last hour of the day. The sunset cruise is 2 hours: you round Land's End to the Pacific side and face the sun as it drops toward the Cabo Falso lighthouse, then come back past the Arch with the town lights coming on. Afternoon departures run until 7 PM, and boats from the marina can stay anchored in the bay until 10 PM.

Getting from your hotel to the boat

The yacht does not pick you up at the hotel. Each yacht boards at its own dock in Marina Cabo San Lucas; your exact dock and a map link come on your boarding pass. From Playa Grande and Sandos Finisterra you can walk. From the Médano hotels it is a short walk or a few minutes by car.

From The Cape, Esperanza or Hacienda Encantada you need a car. We can book a private round trip to the marina through our transportation service. The Cape, Hacienda Encantada and the Cabo San Lucas hotels are in Zone 3, where a round trip by SUV for up to 4 people is USD 160 cash (168 by card) and an Escalade for up to 6 is USD 180 cash (189 by card). The driver collects the fare, separate from the yacht: the cash price, or 5% more by card on the driver's terminal.

Pick your date, your yacht and the route in the planner, and we reply within 2 hours between 8 AM and 8 PM Cabo time.
