History and curious facts

The story of Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences

Hacienda Encantada is part of Mexico Grand Hotels, a family-run group that owns and operates hotels, condominiums, restaurants and shops in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. Its Cabo San Lucas properties include this resort, Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa and a set of restaurants in the Marina Golden Zone downtown. The resort was designed with traditional Mexican architecture and hacienda-style suites on the cliffs of the corridor, a stretch the press has called Millionaires Row. In May 2016 the hotel opened El Encanto de la Hacienda, an addition with 52 oceanfront studios and 20 multi-bedroom suites, its own infinity pool with a swim-up bar and an event terrace. By 2016 the hotel already offered its Dine Out Privileges plan, an all-inclusive option that covers the resort's restaurants and selected restaurants in the Golden Zone at the marina. Today the hotel offers three kinds of stays: Encanto Studios, Hacienda Suites, and Villas & Residences. The year the original resort opened is not published on the hotel's own site.

Your yacht day

A day on a yacht from Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences

From Hacienda Encantada the marina is about 6.8 km away in a straight line, so plan on around 18 minutes without traffic and more at rush hour. Our driver picks you up at the resort and takes you to your yacht's dock in the Cabo San Lucas marina; you pay the transfer to the driver and the price depends on the hotel zone. The resort's beach is rocky and not for swimming, which makes a snorkel charter a good way to get into the water.
