The hotel
Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort is a 375-room beachfront resort at km 19.5 of the Carretera Transpeninsular, in the Cabo Real development on the Tourist Corridor of Los Cabos, facing Playa El Bledito. It is about 18.4 km from the Cabo San Lucas Marina, around 21 minutes by car without traffic; at rush hour the drive takes longer. The resort opened in February 2002, and every room has an ocean view and a balcony.
The resort's beach, called Playa Bledito or Tequila Cove, has calm water that Forbes Travel Guide describes as swimmable, which it calls rare for this part of Los Cabos.1
History and curious facts
The resort opened in February 2002 with 375 rooms, 66 of them suites, in a building Hilton described as modern Mediterranean architecture. Its owners were Eduardo Sánchez Navarro and Manuel Villarreal of Grupo CASA, and in December 2002 Hilton Hotels Corporation announced a contract to manage it, presenting the deal as its return to Mexico as a resort operator. Later the hotel went through a multimillion-dollar redesign by Hirsch Bedner Associates, with carved wood furniture, custom art and hand-painted murals in the rooms. It reopened in July 2015, announced by Hilton together with MetLife and Thayer Lodging Group. A second phase that year added La Vista Club, a hotel within the hotel with 65 club-level rooms and suites, along with a new spa with 15 treatment rooms and the Vela restaurant.

A Blue Flag beach on the corridor with calm turquoise water and a reef that suits snorkeling and beginner diving. It lies toward Cabo San Lucas, a short drive west along the highway.5
San José del Cabo grew around a mission founded in 1730 beside the Río San José. The town is east of the hotel along the same highway.6

Your yacht day
The Hilton sits about halfway along the corridor, so the ride to the Marina is around 21 minutes without traffic. You book the transfer with us, the driver picks you up at the hotel entrance and collects the fare, and he brings you back after the trip. Forbes Travel Guide calls it a strong choice for families, with a kids club for ages 4 to 12 and a pool with water slides, so the family outing and the snorkel trip suit most groups staying here. Couples may prefer the sunset sail, and from December to April the whale-watching departure is available. Leave a little margin in the afternoon, when traffic toward Cabo San Lucas builds.
