Los Cabos has one MICHELIN-starred restaurant in 2026: Cocina de Autor, at Grand Velas Los Cabos on km 17 of the corridor. It received its star in 2024 and kept it in the 2026 guide, so it is not a new arrival. Acre and Flora's Field Kitchen hold Green Stars, Flora's, Metate and Cocina de Campo hold Bib Gourmands, and a longer list of restaurants, from Manta to Los Tres Gallos, are recommended.
The list below comes from the MICHELIN Guide (January and May 2026 updates), checked against Gringo Gazette (July 30, 2026) and Visit Los Cabos. For a broader list that mixes these with marina and beach classics, see our 7 best restaurants in Cabo San Lucas.

Which restaurant in Los Cabos has a Michelin star?
Cocina de Autor, inside Grand Velas Los Cabos at km 17 of the tourist corridor. The star dates from 2024, and the 2026 guide kept it. It is a tasting menu restaurant; one dish people bring up is the cured totoaba with jalapeño.
The dress code is formal resort wear. Book well ahead, and plan the day so you're not coming straight from the beach. The corridor is a taxi ride from the marina and from downtown Cabo San Lucas.
What are the Green Star restaurants in Los Cabos?
A Green Star goes to restaurants Michelin singles out for sustainable cooking. Los Cabos has two, both on the San José del Cabo side.
Acre opened in 2016 on a 25-acre farm in San José. It is also on the recommended list.
Flora's Field Kitchen is in Ánimas Bajas, on a farm that dates back to 1996. It serves brunch and dinner, and it is the only Los Cabos restaurant with both a Green Star and a Bib Gourmand.

Which Los Cabos restaurants have a Bib Gourmand?
The Bib Gourmand marks restaurants with good cooking at a good value. In Los Cabos there are three:
- Flora's Field Kitchen, Ánimas Bajas, for brunch or dinner on the farm.
- Metate, in El Tezal, with tacos and grilled cuts.
- Cocina de Campo, in El Pescadero.
What other restaurants does Michelin recommend in Los Cabos?
Recommended restaurants are in the guide without a star. A few that come up often:
- Manta, at The Cape, a Thompson Hotel. Chef Enrique Olvera's menu is Mexican with Peruvian and Japanese touches, and the room looks toward the Arch.
- Los Tres Gallos, at Leona Vicario and 20 de Noviembre in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Founded in 2010, it serves chiles rellenos, mole and pozole, with a rooftop terrace.
- Comal, at Chileno Bay, known for wagyu barbacoa and chocolate clams.
- Mezcal, at Montage, and Limo, at Suelo Sur.
Where are the Michelin restaurants in relation to the marina?
Los Cabos stretches from Cabo San Lucas to San José del Cabo along the corridor, and the guide's picks are spread along all of it. Where you stay and where your boat leaves from matter more than you'd think when you book a 7:30 PM table.
In Cabo San Lucas, close to Marina Cabo San Lucas, are Los Tres Gallos, downtown, and Manta, at The Cape. These are the easy ones on a boat day: you can dock, freshen up and still be on time.
On the corridor are Cocina de Autor at Grand Velas (km 17), Comal at Chileno Bay and Mezcal at Montage. They are a taxi ride from the marina. Chileno Bay is also a snorkel stop on our longer charters, 13 km (7.9 miles) up the coast from the marina, so you may see it from the water in the morning and eat there at night.
On the San José side are Acre and Flora's Field Kitchen. Metate is in El Tezal, and Cocina de Campo is in El Pescadero. Those make more sense on a day you stay on land.
How do you pair a Michelin dinner with a sunset cruise?
Work backward from your reservation time. Yachts leave Marina Cabo San Lucas between 7 AM and 7 PM and sail until 8 PM.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| Sunset cruise | Leave about 90 minutes before sunset for a 2-hour trip |
| Back at the dock | Roughly 30 minutes after the sun goes down |
| Change | Back to the hotel, especially for Cocina de Autor |
| Dinner | Book 60 to 90 minutes after docking |
A 2-hour sunset cruise passes the Arch and goes around Land's End to the Pacific side, facing the sun as it drops toward Cabo Falso. Sunset times by month are in our trip guide. If your dinner is downtown at Los Tres Gallos, you can go almost straight from the dock. If it's at Cocina de Autor, Comal or one of the corridor resorts, give yourself the full 90 minutes.
The other way to do it is a morning charter, a slow afternoon and dinner with no clock running. For a formal tasting menu, that's the calmer plan.

Can you have a chef-cooked dinner on a yacht instead?
Yes, on the McKinna 70. It is a 70-foot luxury motor yacht for up to 12 guests, with a crew of five, including the captain, deckhands and a chef on board. The chef cooks a multi-course menu during the trip, you start with welcome snacks and fresh guacamole, and the bilingual crew serves complimentary drinks.
| Hours | Price per boat |
|---|---|
| 3 | USD 4,499 (MXN 85,499) |
| 4 | USD 5,999 (MXN 113,999) |
| 5 | USD 7,299 (MXN 138,699) |
The minimum is three hours, the same as the Azimut 70, the Sea Ray 55 and the Sea Ray 65; the rest of the fleet starts at two. It boards at the IGY Marina Fuel Dock, with no dock fee. Yachts from the marina may stay anchored in the bay until 10 PM, so you can watch the sunset on the way out and eat at anchor with the town lights on behind you.
We don't sell alcohol. The drinks on the McKinna 70 are a courtesy of its crew. On the Azimut 70, the crew of three serves complimentary beer and cocktails and a menu on board (fish ceviche, sashimi, beef or chicken fajitas, guacamole with chips), from USD 4,199 (MXN 79,799) for three hours; a chef there is an extra charge. Our private dinner cruise guide has the smaller options.

Michelin dinner or chef dinner on board?
| Michelin restaurant | McKinna 70 | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | On land, from downtown to San José | At anchor in the bay |
| Group | Your table | Up to 12, the whole boat to yourselves |
| Dress | Formal resort wear at Cocina de Autor | Whatever you wore on deck |
| Drinks | From the restaurant | Complimentary, served by the crew |
| Sunset | Before dinner, from a separate charter | Part of the same trip |
Booking your evening
If you want the Michelin room, book the restaurant first and pick a morning or sunset charter that leaves you time to change. If you'd rather keep everyone on the water, the McKinna 70 puts the chef on the boat.
All prices are per boat, with the 16% tax included; the customary 15% crew tip is not included. Check open dates for either plan in the planner. If you're not sure which yacht fits your group, message us on WhatsApp at +52 624 300 8029; we reply within 2 hours between 8 AM and 8 PM Cabo time, which is Mountain Standard Time all year.
